Every year, football fans debate which quarterback is the best in the NFL or argue for one quarterback over another. Netflix’s new ‘Quarterback’ docuseries being released on July 12 should help start those conversations and debates early this year. Luckily, NFL bettors don’t have to wait until July to pick a quarterback to ride with this season. Here are some quarterback futures available for the upcoming NFL season.
NFL: QB futures as Netflix releases Quaterback docuseries
Quick Take
- Netflix releasing a series about Quarterbacks
- NFL futures for quarterbacks
- Justin Fields favoured to lead QBs in rushing yards this season
Most passing yards
NFL bettors can place bets on which quarterback will lead the league in passing yards on Bet99. Last year, Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes led the league with 5,250 yards. He is the betting favourite to lead the league again this year at +420 on Bet99. The numbers indicate Mahomes is a strong choice here. Mahomes has four seasons with 4,700 passing yards or more. The only other quarterback who threw for more than 4,700 last year was Justin Herbert.
Los Angeles Chargers QB Justsin Herbert has the second best odds to lead the league in passing at +640. He passed for over 5,000 yards in 2021, was second in yards last season, and is a young player. Herbert deserves some consideration. Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow has the third best odds at +680. With Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins at wide receiver, Burrow should always have a shot to lead the league in passing. There’s a lot of reasons to back Burrow here.

Quarterback rushing yards
You can bet on which quarterback will rush for the most yards during the regular season on BetMGM. Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields is the betting favourite. He has +175 odds on BetMGM. Fields dominated on the ground last season, rushing for 1,143 yards and creating a ton of highlights. He’s rightfully the betting favourite. Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has the second best odds at +250.
Jackson has the ability to beat out Fields, but there’s been a lot of talk around the Ravens looking to pass the ball a little more. That will hurt his chances a lot if the Ravens focus on passing the ball more this year. Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts and Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson are solid options if Fields and Jackson get hurt. Hurts has +350 odds. Richardson has +450 odds. BetMGM isn’t giving the rest of the quarterbacks much of a chance. Josh Allen has the next best odds at +1100.
Over/Under passing touchdowns and yards
On BetMGM, there are over/under bets available for passing yards and touchdowns. There are a lot of quarterbacks to choose from. Josh Allen’s over/under for passing touchdowns is 32.5. These bets are great for NFL bettors who follow more than one quarterback because you can place multiple bets. You can also bet more than once on a quarterback you have faith in or don’t.
Allen’s over/under for passing yards is 4201.5. In this case, Allen supporters can take the over on passing yards and touchdowns. If there’s a quarterback you believe is overrated, take the unders. There are a lot of questions for guys like Russel Wilson and Jordan Love.
MVP
Although not officially an award for quarterbacks, the NFL’s MVP award usually goes to a QB. We wrote about the early MVP odds in a previous article. Take a look to see where they rank and a preview of the MVP race.
