• In 2018 against the Boston Bruins they came back from down 3 games to 1 to force a Game 7 where they took a 4-3 lead into the third period before giving up a whopping four goals to lose 7-4.
• In 2019 they were up 3 games to 2 against the Bruins but lost the final two games of the series, including a 5-1 loss in Game 7.
  
• In 2020 they lost 3-2 in a five-gamer against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
  
• In 2021 they went up 3 games to 1 against arch rivals Montreal Canadiens but lost two straight overtime games before losing Game 7 3-1.
  
• In 2022 they went up 3-2 on the Tampa Bay Lightning before losing Game 6 in overtime and falling again in Game 7. That is true sports torture right there.

Longest Stanley Cup & Stanley Cup Finals Appearance Drought - 54 Seasons

The other record the Leafs carry with them is the longest span without making the Stanley Cup Finals or winning the Stanley Cup, both of which they last did in 1967, losing five times in the Conference Finals since then. It is not only the longest active Stanley Cup drought but the longest Stanley Cup drought period. It is also one of the longest active championship droughts in North American sports.
