UFC: Paddy Pimblett the Only English Fighter Not Favoured to Win at UFC 304

Two titles will be defended at UFC 304. This will be the first time since UFC 300 that two belts are defended on the same card. But one of the UFC’s rising stars will also be in action. The event will be in Manchester, but only one fighter from England is an underdog in their fight. The rest of the fighters representing England at UFC 304 are betting favourites.

Paddy Pimblett the only underdog from England at UFC 304

Paddy “the baddy” Pimblett is on a five-fight winning streak in the UFC and could potentially solidify himself as a star with a few more wins. Pimblett will need to beat King Green, formerly Bobby Green, in his next fight at UFC 304 which he is an underdog in on the UFC betting sites. On BetMGM, Pimblett is the only fighter from England who is currently an underdog with the event less than a week away. Ten, including Pimblett, English fighters are on the card. The others are Leon Edwards, Tom Aspinall, Muhammad Mokaev, Arnold Allen, Nathaniel Wood, Molly McCan, Mick Parkin, Christian Leroy Duncan, and Sam Patterson.

Pimblett is barely an underdog in his fight against Green. Pimblett has -105 odds to win the fight. Green is the betting favourite. Green has -115 odds to win the fight. Pimblett has a 21-3 professional MMA record and defeated Tony Ferguson in his last fight at UFC 296 in December of 2023. Green is ranked at number 15 on the UFC’s lightweight rankings. Green has a 32-15-1 professional MMA record and defeated Jim Miller in his last fight at UFC 300 in April. 

Both champions favoured to retain at UFC 304

Two championship fights are scheduled for the main and co-main event. Welterweight champion Leon Edwards will defend his title against Belal Muhammad. Muhammad is the UFC’s number two ranked welterweight. Interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall will defend his belt against Curtis Blaydes. Blaydes is the UFC’s number four ranked heavyweight. Both champs are favoured to win.

Edwards is the betting favourite in his fight by a small margin. Edwards has -225 odds to win the fight. Muhammad is the early underdog. He has +185 odds to upset the welterweight champion. Aspinall is the betting favourite in his fight by a much wider margin. Aspinall is a -400 betting favourite right now. Blaydes is the underdog with +310 odds to win the interim heavyweight title. The last time two fighters defended their belt on a UFC card was UFC 300. Alex Pereira and Zhang Weili successfully defended their championships against Jamahal Hill and Yan Xiaonan. The last time two belts switched hands at a UFC event was at UFC 281 when Israel Adesanya lost his title to Alex Pereira and Carla Esparza lost her title to Zhang Weili.
