Throughout these playoffs and the entire season, the Chiefs have had one of the best defences in the league. Their defence held Lamar Jackson and the Ravens to 10 points in the AFC Championship and held the Dolphins to seven points. If their defence can hold up against the 49ers and force Purdy to have a bad game, the Chiefs should be in this game. The Chiefs will be even tougher to beat if they can establish the run like they have throughout the playoffs so far. Running back Isiah Pacheco has 254 rushing yards and three touchdowns in these playoffs.

Can Brock Purdy lead the 49ers to a Super Bowl?

The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Green Bay Packers 24-21 in the second round and the Detroit Lions 34-31 in the NFC Championship game to earn their spot in the Super Bowl. The 49ers have not had a smooth run through these playoffs. A legitimate argument can be made about whether or not they were lucky to win both of their playoff games. The Packers and Lions looked like they were going to upset the 49ers at different points in those games. But you can look at those games from another perspective.

The Lions and Packers were two of the hottest teams in the league when the 49ers played them. The 49ers did not have their best game, but they found a way to beat good teams with momentum. Similar to the Ravens vs Chiefs game in the AFC Championship, this game should come down to whether or not the Chiefs can control Purdy or force him to have a bad game. If Purdy has a terrible game, the 49ers probably will not have a great shot in this game because Mahomes is on the other side.
