NFL: Futures for non-Qb offensive players now available

As the NFL season gets closer, sportsbooks are starting to offer more options for the upcoming season. Futures for non-QB bets are now available on NFL betting sites. There are a lot of options to choose from, whether you want to bet on rookies, offense, or defense. Here are a few futures available for non-QB offensive players, including most receiving yards, touchdowns, and rushing yards.

Quick Take

  • Futures out for most receiving yards, touchdowns, rushing yards, and more
  • Justin Jefferson favoured to finish season with the most receiving yards
  • Nick Chubb favoured to win the rushing crown

Who will finish the season with the most receiving yards?

Justin Jefferson is the betting favourite to finish the 2023-2024 NFL season with the most receiving yards on NFL betting sites. He has +643 odds on Tonybet. Jefferson finished with 1809 yards last season, number one in the league. Tyreek Hill and Davante Adams finished behind him in second and third. On paper, Jefferson seems like the safe pick here because he has a pocket quarterback and doesn’t have to share targets with a number two receiver on the level of Tee Higgins or Jaylen Waddle. In his three years with Kirk Cousins at QB, Jefferson has not finished a season with less than 1,400 yards in his NFL career.

If Cooper Kupp is back to 2021 form, he should be a great pick at +1167 odds. Kupp has the fourth best odds to finish the season with the most receiving yards. Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay spoke about Kupp’s return at minicamp. “We haven’t had Cooper out practicing in these competitive settings. When we get back to camp, he will be ready to go.” Kupp is recovering from a high ankle sprain. Tyreek Hill, Ja’Marr Chase, Stefon Diggs, and Ceedee Lamb are a few other receivers worth considering. Despite having to share targets with Waddle, Tyreek Hill is a solid choice if Tua Tagovailoa is healthy. Tagovailoa played in 13 games last year, and Hill still finished second in receiving yards, less than 100 yards away from catching Jefferson.

Receiving Touchdowns

Cincinnati Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase is the betting favourite to finish the season with the most receiving touchdowns for the upcoming season. He has +650 odds on Tonybet. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has the second best odds at +800. The receiving touchdown leader in the NFL was a different player in each of the last five seasons. Davante Adams is the only player to lead the league in receiving touchdowns multiple times over the last five seasons, and he finished second in 2018.

The TEs with the best odds are Kelce, Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews at +3300, and TJ Hockenson at +4000. Although Kelce finished second last season with 12 touchdowns, no TE in the past 10 NFL seasons has led the league in receiving touchdowns. History tells us to avoid betting on TEs, one of them might have a small chance in today’s NFL, especially Kelce.

Who will finish the season with the most rushing yards?

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is the betting favourite to take home the rushing crown. At +693, Chubb has a slight edge over Indianapolis Colts RB Johnathan Taylor. Taylor has +704 odds. Josh Jacobs, last season’s rushing champ, has fourth best odds at +1200. Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry, Chubb, and Taylor are the only three RBs to finish in the top three in rushing multiple times over the past five seasons. No other RB has finished top three in rushing yards more than once during that time.

Atlanta Falcons rookie Bijan Robinson is considered an elite RB prospect by experts.  The Falcons had the most rushing attempts last season. If Robinson plays like a top 10 pick and does not have to share a lot of carries with Tyler Allgeier, there is a chance for him to take home the rushing title because they have a young QB in Desmond Ridder. Justin Fields has the best odds outside of the RBs at +2374. Fields has the talent, but can he run the ball enough times to be worth taking a chance on? Henry, the league leader in rushing attempts, had 189 more carries than Fields last season.
