Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry is favoured to beat New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu in the first ever NBA vs WNBA 3-Point Challenge at All-Star Weekend this year in Indianapolis. Curry has -330 odds to win on Bodog. Ionescu is only a small underdog. She has +200 odds to pull off the upset. This betting market is not available on all NBA betting sites.
The NBA announced the three-point contest on January 30. According to NBA.com, the NBA vs WNBA 3-Point Challenge will be part of the 2024 State Farm All-Star Saturday Night on February 17 and happen after the regular three-point contest, the Starry 3-Point contest, and right before the AT&T Slam Dunk contest. The Kia Skills Challenge will be the first event of the night.

Ionescu won the WNBA’s 2023 3-point contest with a record performance. Ionescu made 25 of her 27 three-point attempts to give her a score of 37 points out of a total 40 points. Ionescu finished second in the WNBA in three-point percentage with 44.8% during the 2023 regular season, the highest three-point percentage of her career. She was third in attempts per game at 7.9. Ionescu will shoot from the WNBA three-point line and use WNBA basketballs during the contest. Curry will shoot from the NBA three-point line and use NBA basketballs.

Curry has two three-point contest wins under his belt. He won the shootout in 2021 and 2015. Curry’s highest score in a round is 31 points in 2021. Curry is having one of the worst three-point shooting seasons of his career through 43 games. He is currently shooting 41.1% from three which would tie for second lowest of his career if the season ended today. Curry is 42 of 88, 47%, from three since January 24.
