Max Verstappen wins his sixth race of the season, the Canadian Grand Prix

Max Verstappen won the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal on Sunday after starting the race from second. The Canadian GP was Verstappen’s sixth win of the season, bringing him to 194 points in the driver standings. “I think that it was a very good team effort today. Made the right calls and remained calm when it was sometimes a little bit hectic to make the right call,” Verstappen said after the race. “It’s been a challenging weekend again for us, but to come out of it as a winner, I will take that.” The Spanish Grand Prix is up next. Qualifying is on June 22. The race is on June 23.

Lando Norris and George Russell finished second and third in the Canadian GP. This was the first time Russell reached the podium this season. And Norris claimed his fourth podium finish of the season. Norris is currently third in the driver standings with 131 points. He spoke about his performance in an interview after the race. “We had the speed to win, but I got unlucky with the safety car. I was leading by 15 seconds, and the safety car screwed me over. But sometimes it’s like that. The safety car in Miami helped me win the race. Today it helped me lose the race,” Norris said. Canadian Lance Stroll finished in seventh.
