Saul “Canelo” Alvavrez

Alvarez has -400 odds to win the fight on Bodog. He has -139 odds to win by decision or technical decision. Alvarez is the undisputed super middleweight champion. He is recognized as one of the greatest boxers today with a 59-2-2 record. He has fought some of the top boxers of this era, including Floyd Mayweather and Gennady Golovkin. Alvarez has proven to be one of the most complete boxers in the world and has only two losses in his career, one to Mayweather and one to Dmitry Bivol last year.

Alvarez should win this fight because he has fought tougher competition than Charlo and is the champion of this division. He is also a complete boxer. There are not many reasons to bet against Alvarez in this fight. His recent loss was to a light heavyweight at 175 pounds, but Charlo is the champion of the 154 pound division. All of his recent victories were by KO/TKO, but he most likely will not be able to stop Alvarez although he has knockout power. Alvarez has never been knocked out before, and he fought Golovkin three times, who is known for his knockout power and has 37 knockout victories. Charlo has 19 KO/TKO victories. This fight has -275 odds to go the distance.

Still, there is a small chance because this is boxing and Charlo has found a way to stop almost all of his opponents since 2019. But outside of a KO/TKO victory, Charlo can win this fight by decision if his defense is strong in this fight. He will not have a great chance if he can not defend well because Alvarez has knockout power and has been able to defend himself against the elite boxers. If Charlo wins this fight, he will most likely win by decision. But he could be knocked out for the first time in his career in this fight.
